An evolving collection
The world gives us energy and we give it back. The kind of energy we choose to take in and return is up to us. Not every day will be positive. That is fine. It helps keep balance, but the key is accept the present and simply experience what is around us. That was my goal while in Utah. To actually take in the experience and the energy from it instead of passively watching my life go by. These pieces attempt to capture the energy I was feeling while in that place or making that piece.
I’m young, I haven’t found the balance yet, but I’m trying and an awareness of yourself is essential.
While everything of course is not about you. You are infact a very small human on a huge world and often I could feel that in Utah with the earth towering over me. However our lives still matter to us and the people we affect so the goal should be to create a positive effect.
These pieces are not meant to make a statement about climate change, though without change some of these scenes will be destroyed. They are meant to be a snapshot of a moment, a period of time, where I was happy or frustraited and the world did not care but still reflected back what I felt through my eyes. -or no matter what I felt the world unchangedly existed in its magestic beautiful way and I just had to open my eyes and recognize it.
This trip was challenging in spots. I felt completely unmotivated at times. I was exhausted by the end. I was fighting a depressive episode almost the whole trip but the world was stunning and there was so much to experience I could not let that stop me.
